Keep Your Perspective – This Too Shall Pass

We must not be distracted by catastrophe or seduced by riches and acclaim. Jesus reminded us, “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.  People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark.  Then the flood came and destroyed them all” (Luke 17: 26-27). We are not to live in fear.  Still, we need to be reminded that for most, in the twinkling of an eye one day, everything will suddenly be over!  In another passage, the Bible says, “It is foolish to lay up riches on earth and not have a rich relationship with God.”  In other words, we can’t take anything (except our good deeds) into the next life. Today, in the most unlikely of times, keep your perspective. Hour-by-hour, trust in Jesus for solutions and try to avoid being caught up in the cares of this world. Stay close to God and keep your eye on the BIG PICTURE
