NO WORRIES! (What To Do Instead – 3 Steps)

1 Peter 5:7 is one of the most profound scriptures in the entire Bible. Everyone should commit this scripture to memory: “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”

In this scripture, God is telling us how to retain our joy, how to stay healthy, how to live longer, how to walk with Him, and most importantly – how to achieve answered prayer!

Believers are never to worry about people, money, careers, spouses, children, parents, death or even catastrophes. We are never to indulge the sin of worry.  Worry does not make anything better – few people realize this but naturally and spirituallyit makes matters worse.

The downside of worry is that (through stress), worry harms the health, it kills our joy, it can cause rash unwise decisions and it dishonors God by provingwe do not trust Him. Worry invites stress, doubt, unbelief and a host of evil outcomes. Worry is closely associated with fear and FEAR is not from God. 2 Tim 1:7 tells us that, “God did not give us a spirit of fear, He gave us the Spirit of power, love and sound judgment.”

What DO we do when we don’t know WHAT to do? (Phil 4:6-7) gives us the Biblical response to problems in 3 steps: First, it reminds us not to be anxious about anything or 1) Do not worry, 2)   Pray & tell God what you need and 3) Thank Him for what He’s already done.

Let me explain. We are not thanking God for the dilemma; we are counting our past blessings and giving God heartfelt praise (ahead of the outcome) for His Presence and His Power to help us! The Bible tells us that praise unites believers with Almighty God and it is the ultimate evidence of our faith.

Once we give a matter to God, we can expect a miracle.  But we must never allow anyone’s opinion to quench our faith – even authority figures with “so called” evidence.  Don’t even agree with other’s negative statements. Remain silent or tell them outright, “I’m trusting God.”

After you’ve prayed, no matter what happens, remain positive, talk positive and refuse any worry or anxiety.  When tempted to worry, say out loud, “Jesus, I love you and I trust you!”

For the rest of your life – NO WORRIES!  You will please God, enjoy greater physical health, and see miracles!Attachments area
